DESIGNING OUT WASTE
Design Sprint Application
The Richmond Power Station is currently undergoing a radical transformation from an industrial powerhouse into a significant creative and cultural hub for Melbourne. Led by Naomi Milgrim Foundation’s bold vision, construction has begun on site with an ambition to retain or reuse as much building fabric as possible.
In this context, we invite you to work in teams to design pop-up interventions that repurpose the materials and components that have been gathered on site for reuse. The outcome of the event is a sketch, drawing or image that could serve as a starting point for a real-world installation.
Join as a team or individually and be placed into a team on the day.
Over a full day you’ll explore the live construction site, identify opportunities, and propose interventions that could translate into real-world outcomes.
